1. Platform-Initiated Cancellations
1.1 Right to Cancel or Refund
Teach Me Online Pty Ltd (“TMO”) reserves the right to cancel or refund any booking prior to the commencement of a scheduled session, even where the booking has been accepted by an independent educator.
Situations in which this may apply include, but are not limited to, the following:
a. Service Availability
If an independent educator or the scheduling system is unable to accommodate the requested session(s). In such cases, the affected order will be refunded in full.
b. Unforeseen Circumstances
Events beyond TMO’s reasonable control (including natural disasters, pandemics, or other extraordinary events) that prevent timely service delivery.
c. Error or Miscommunication
Where a typographical error, pricing discrepancy, or scheduling conflict has occurred and is acknowledged by TMO or the independent educator.
d. Verification Requirements
Where a booking is subject to additional verification or fraud-prevention checks and the required documentation is not provided within a reasonable timeframe.
In any cancellation initiated by TMO, customers will receive a full refund to the original payment method.
This policy is intended to ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency across all users of the TMO platform.
2. Rescheduling a Session
A customer may reschedule a booking through their TMO account prior to acceptance by the independent educator.
Once a booking has been accepted, any changes will be managed under the cancellation policy below.
3. Customer-Initiated Cancellations
a. Standard Cancellations
Customers may cancel a confirmed booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled session start time.
In such cases, the session will be cancelled and no payment will be processed.
b. Late Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will result in forfeiture of the session fee.
The payment will be retained by TMO as a cancellation fee.
Customers acknowledge that this fee represents a genuine pre-estimate of loss incurred by the platform and service provider due to short-notice cancellations.
c. Educator-Initiated Cancellations
If an independent educator is unable to deliver a confirmed session, they must notify the customer promptly.
A mutually convenient reschedule may be arranged.
If a suitable time cannot be agreed upon, the customer will receive a credit to rebook with another educator.
d. Repeated Cancellations
Repeated cancellations by customers or educators may result in account review or suspension at TMO’s discretion.
4. Subscription Cancellations
Customers may cancel a subscription or account at any time through their TMO account settings.
Customers are solely responsible for managing and terminating their subscriptions.
All subscription payments made prior to the effective cancellation date are non-refundable, as they cover access to TMO’s platform and related services during the applicable billing period.
If cancellation occurs before the next billing cycle, no further payments will be processed.
5. Independent Service Provider Notice
All educators delivering sessions through the TMO platform act as independent contractors.
Cancellations, rescheduling, or refunds managed under this policy do not create or imply any employment, partnership, or agency relationship between TMO and individual educators.
